Purpose
CBC Master supports authorized school administration, teaching, assessment, learner-development, communication, and guardian access. Each participating school controls its own records and decides which authorized users may use them.
Information processed
Depending on the user’s role and the school’s configuration, CBC Master may process account details, school identifiers, teacher and learner records, guardian relationships and contact details, attendance, assessment marks, CBC evidence, learner-development records, announcements, notification delivery records, and security audit information.
How information is used
Information is used only to provide authorized school workflows, protect accounts, maintain auditability, generate official school records, deliver requested communications, support linked guardians, and improve service reliability.
Sharing and school isolation
CBC Master does not make one school’s records available to another school. Information may be processed by contracted hosting or communication providers only where required to operate the service. Schools remain responsible for authorizing their users and maintaining lawful, accurate records.
Security and retention
CBC Master uses encrypted network connections, role-based access, school separation, session controls, account lockout protections, and audit records. Records are retained according to the participating school’s obligations and applicable Kenyan law. Authorized administrators can correct accounts and school records through controlled workflows.
Mobile application
The Android application connects to CBC Master over HTTPS. It uses internet and network-state access to sign in and synchronize authorized school information. It does not request location, contacts, microphone, camera, or broad device-storage permissions. Draft academic work may be kept on the device until synchronization or sign-out, subject to the application’s security controls.
